Frequently Asked Questions About Your Store

Is there a sale on storage bins and shelves?

Garage Storage Savings are here, so it's time to get shopping. From garage bundles to storage bins, we've got deals on what you want for a neatly arranged garage. Shop the sales in-store or online from 6/22–8/18, and make this the year you finally organize the garage, shed, and basement.

What school supplies does The Home Depot have?

When you've gotten your classroom decor at the teacher store and just need the basics, come see us. From maintenance like office supplies to the fun stuff for art projects, we've got it. Command hooks and writing utensils? Check. Glue guns and hot glue sticks to match? We have those, too. Find cleaning supplies, storage containers to keep it all organized, and more paper towels and tissues than you could possibly need — because you'll end up using them all. We love our educators, so stop in to get any missing school supplies.

How can I prepare my home for summer temps?

Make certain your home is set for relentless summer weather by replacing or repairing faulty components of your home and hardscaping. Check cinder blocks and brick for cracks, and ensure indoor ceiling tiles are free from water damage. On your house's exterior, inspect shingles or metal roofing for damage or rust that could let water in. Keep gutters clear and functional to prevent overflow from entering your home when storms arrive. Lastly, chimney caps and vinyl siding should be changed out if they're badly weathered.

What types of moving boxes do you have?

Pick up an assortment of moving boxes to make storage and moving easier. We've got the sizes you're looking for, including specialty ones like TV and wardrobe boxes. Cushion any and all items with bubble cushion and moving blankets to ensure your belongings make it to your next location safely. Look into our rental moving trucks, too, and take care of your DIY move needs in one place.

Is it good to have a generator at home?

Restore electricity in your home even after severe storms and wind take it out. We've got the options you need when searching for a generator for sale. Inverter generators are quieter and cleaner than traditional portable generators. They adjust to whatever power load is requested. This means they'll make less noise in times of lesser demand. When shopping for generators, keep in mind that portable generators cost less and generate more electricity than inverter generators, but they're heavier and louder. Always run your generators outside, away from windows and doors, for safety purposes.

What are the benefits of doorbell cameras?

Enjoy peace of mind, privacy, and safety with a wired or wireless doorbell camera. Stop peeking through a window when you can watch animal or human visitors in real time. Some doorbell cams even let you talk to whoever is on your doorstep via your phone, a useful interaction to scare off potential porch pirates or talk to delivery people. Most cameras integrate with your smart home app or hub to give you easy accessibility. Choose to save video clips for future reference as it suits you.

Which project will be featured at the free Kids Workshop?

Drop by our Kids Workshop on August 1st, from 9–12 noon or while supplies last. It's time to put together a wooden rocket game! Your little builder can assemble their very own rocket game craft — like a real rocketship but kid-sized. Remember to leave some time to race your rocket into space with others!

Time for new management
This is probably the dirtiest, poorly stocked Home Depot I have ever been to. The lumber section had multiple empty racks , with stock way up above and no employee working to keep the empty racks, full. The section where the cement is stored, looked like a war zone that you could not get a cart through. No employee taking care of that section. And isle after isle that was blocked with carts full of junk. No manager who is earning his pay would have allowed his store to reach such a poor condition, with employees that don't do their jobs.

It all starteted with a crappy Honeywell "Window Shaker"
Thank God the Honeywell died with less than a month on the warranty. It took Home Depot ver an HOUR to refund us. So, with their limited inventory, we were forced to buy a Midea. It's pretty sketchy so far....

It has most of what I, as a homeowner, need in the way of hardware, appliances, and accessories.
I purchased, via your on-line program (operated in this case by one of your employees who was assisting me at the store), three Wynter portable AC units that I will keep on hand should my central unit break down - which it did a month ago. It's fixed now and the portables are a mechanical insurance policy that will keep me and my wife cool, just in case.

            Tony in millwork
Tony in millwork has been the best associate I have felt with at any of the Home Depot’s I have visited. Truly loves and knows his job.

I am happy to have a local Home Depot in Tallahassee
So far the products worked well, we are about 1/3 into completing the project. Home Depot cut back on the limit I had on my Home Depot card. I wanted to buy a new dryer at their store, but now my new card limit won't allow this purchase. I have had this card for years.

                Professional kitchen designer
The kitchen designer was very professsional, well informed about products and trends, and knowledgeable regarding design and options. He was very helpful on this project.

                  Paint Incident
A lady dropped a can of paint in front of me in an aisle. I slipped and my shoes were covered in paint. The two associates did not care about my situation at all. I asked for paper towels and was told to go to customer service. No one assisted me and I had to use tissues from my purse to try and get the paint off. My shoes were ruined and no one even asked me if I was OK after slipping thru paint and to help me get the paint off my shoes so I could get out of the store.

                    Griddle purchase
All employees, especially Billie in customer service. Also, Tommy, the manager also assisted as well. Home Depot put the griddle together because it was an online purchase, they even helped putting it my truck. We are very satisfied with both the store and item.
