What college dorm essentials should I get?
We've got your college dorm essentials. Utilize our storage containers or moving boxes to transport your belongings, and be ready for residual dirt with cleaning supplies and disinfecting wipes. Make your room your own with wall decals and area rugs. Bring spackle to fill old nail holes and Command adhesive hooks to hang wall art and string lights. Power strips and extension cords let you place table lamps, microwaves, and mini refrigerators where you need them. If you didn't get a new backpack yet, we've got those, too. Be prepared to head back to college with useful products from your Thomas Road Home Depot.
How can I prep my home for scorching summer temps?
Be confident your home is ready for summer temps by replacing or repairing faulty components of your home and hardscaping. If moisture gets inside the crevices, you might be dealing with damage. Check cinder blocks and brick for cracks, and ensure indoor ceiling tiles are free from missing pieces and water damage. On the exterior of your home, inspect metal roofs or shingles for damage that may let water leak in. Keep gutters fully functional to prevent overflow from entering your home when storms arrive. Lastly, vinyl siding and chimney caps should be swapped out if they're badly weathered.
What kinds of moving boxes do you have?
Pick up a mix of moving boxes to make storage and moving easier. We've got the sizes you've been searching for, including specialty ones like TV and wardrobe boxes. Cushion any and all items with bubble cushion and moving blankets to ensure your belongings make it to your next location safely. Look into our moving truck rentals, too, and take care of your DIY move needs in one place.
Why should I get a generator?
Enjoy electricity in your home even after severe storms and wind take it out. We've got the options you need when searching for a generator for sale. Inverter generators are cleaner and quieter than traditional portable generators. They adjust to whatever power load is requested. This means they'll make less noise in times of lesser demand. When shopping for generators, keep in mind that portable generators are more affordable and generate more electricity than inverter generators, but they're louder and heavier. Always run your generators outdoors, away from windows and doors, for safety purposes.
Why should I get a doorbell camera?
Enjoy peace of mind, safety, and privacy with a wireless or wired doorbell camera. No more peeking through a peephole or window when you can watch human or animal visitors in real time. Some doorbell cameras even let you talk to whoever is on your doorstep via your phone, a useful interaction for delivery people or to scare off potential porch pirates. Several cameras integrate with your smart home app or hub to give you flexible and easy accessibility. Choose to save video clips for future reference as it suits you.
Which project is featured at the free Kids Workshop?
Drop by our Kids Workshop on August 1, 2026, from 9–12 noon or while supplies last. It's time to assemble a wooden rocket game! Your little builder can put together their very own rocket game craft — like the real thing but kid-sized. The best part is imagining the rocket launch, so leave some time to blast off!
