Home Depot Truck Rental
Our store diverts waste from landfills by accepting plastic plant pots, CFLs, lead acid batteries, and rechargeable batteries for recycling.
Home Depot stores sent approximately 5.3 million pounds of shredded paper for recycling in 2022. This has helped the planet by preserving over 63,500 trees, keeping over 16,000 trash bags of solid waste out of landfills, saving over 50 million gallons of water, and conserving 7.8 million kilowatt hours of electricity.
We have decreased electricity consumption by over 52% in our U.S. stores since 2010.
The Home Depot's core values are based on doing the right thing for our customers and associates. This commitment extends beyond our stores to the environment, as well as our local communities. We are your partners in environmental sustainability. Learn more about our commitment to economic responsibility.

How do I find a good Christmas tree that's alive?
Look for uniformly green trees that appear healthy. A quality real Christmas tree shouldn't shed all its needles when you shake it, and the needles shouldn't look patchy, dry, or brown. Also, be sure to check that your tree is free of insects and disease. We're your source for finding the best real Christmas tree for your home.
