How can I prepare my home for summer temps?
Make certain your home is ready for summer temperatures by replacing faulty parts of your hardscaping. Check cinder blocks and bricks for cracks, and ensure indoor ceiling tiles are free from water damage. If moisture gets in the cracks, you might be in for a headache. On the exterior of your home, examine roof shingles or metal roofs for damage that may let water come in. Keep gutters functional and clear to prevent excess water from seeping beneath your shingles when storms arrive. Lastly, chimney caps and vinyl siding should be changed out if they're in poor condition.
Do you have specialty moving boxes?
Pick up a variety of moving boxes to make moving and storage easier. We've got the sizes you've been searching for, including specialty ones like wardrobe and TV boxes. Cushion your items with bubble cushion and moving blankets to ensure your belongings make it safely. Look into our moving truck rentals, too, and take care of your DIY move needs in one place.
Should I get a portable generator or an inverter generator?
Restore electricity in your home even after severe storms take it out. We've got the options you need when searching for a generator for sale. Inverter generators are cleaner and quieter than traditional portable generators. They'll adjust to the required load, making more noise when they create more power. When shopping for generators, keep in mind that portable generators are more affordable and generate more electricity than inverter generators, but they're heavier and louder. Always run your generators outside, away from doors and windows, for safety purposes.
What benefits do doorbell cameras have?
Enjoy safety, peace of mind, and privacy with a wireless or wired doorbell camera. No more peeking through a window when you can watch human or animal visitors in real time. Some doorbell cams even let you chat remotely via your phone, a useful interaction for delivery people or to scare off would-be porch pirates. Most cameras integrate with your smart home app or hub to give you flexible and easy accessibility. Save video clips for future reference as needed.
When is the next free Kids Workshop?
Head to our Kids Workshop on Independence Day, from 9–12 noon or while supplies last. It's time to put together a pint-sized wooden go-kart! Your little builder can assemble their very own go-kart craft — like the racetrack version but kid-sized. Remember to leave some time to race your new go-kart toy with others!
