Frequently Asked Questions About Your Store

When does The Home Depot Labor Day Sale begin at the Abilene store?

Visit our store from 8/27–9/9 for The Home Depot's Labor Day Savings Event. Prepare for cooler temps with Labor Day savings on appliances starting at $399 — with free delivery on appliance purchases of $998 or more. We've got deals on outdoor lighting, ladders, and other home improvement must-haves. Don't forget to check out the savings on all things bath and furniture, too. We have what you need to refresh your home in time for the holiday season. Wrap up your summer right and move on to fall with these Labor Day bargains.

What is Express Delivery, and is my store eligible?

Select items can arrive at top speed with Express Delivery, a same-day service that delivers directly from your store to your door. Orders must be placed by 4 p.m. local time to ensure delivery. Eligibility depends on driver availability, item size, and local stock. Qualifying products will feature an Express Delivery tag in your cart and at checkout when you set your local store online or in The Home Depot app (excludes custom mixed paint, bulk orders, and aerosols). Additional delivery charges may apply for Express Delivery orders.

Do you have dorm supplies?

We have all your college dorm essentials. Get storage containers or moving boxes to transport your belongings, and be ready with cleaning supplies and disinfecting wipes. Bring a tub of spackling to fill old nail holes and Command adhesive hooks to hang string lights. Make the room your own with wall decals and area rugs. Power strips and extension cords let you place lamps, mini fridges, and microwaves where you need them. If you didn't get a new backpack yet, we've got those, too. Be prepared to head to college with helpful products from your local Home Depot.

What home repairs should I make before summer storms hit?

Be confident your home is set for summer temps by replacing faulty components of your home. Check cinder blocks and brick for cracks, and ensure indoor ceiling tiles are free from missing pieces and water damage. On the exterior of your home, examine roof shingles or metal roofs for rust or damage that might let water leak inside. Keep gutters clear and functional to prevent overflow from backing up into your home when storms arrive. Lastly, chimney caps and vinyl siding should be changed out if they're in poor condition.

What kinds of moving boxes do you have?

Pick up an assortment of moving boxes to make your move easier. We've got the sizes you've been looking for, including specialty ones like TV and wardrobe boxes. Cushion any and all items with bubble cushion and moving blankets to ensure your belongings make it to your next location safely. Look into our moving truck rentals, too, and take care of your DIY move needs in one place.

Should I get a portable generator or an inverter generator?

Enjoy electricity in your home even after severe weather takes it out. We've got the options you need when searching for a generator for sale. Inverter generators are cleaner and quieter than traditional portable generators. They adjust to whatever power load is requested. This means they'll make less noise in times of lesser demand. When searching for generators, keep in mind that portable generators are more affordable and generate more electricity than inverter generators, but they're louder and heavier. For safety purposes, always run your generators outdoors, away from doors and windows.

Do you have wired or wireless doorbell cameras?

Enjoy privacy, safety, and peace of mind with a wired or wireless doorbell camera. No more peeking through a window when you can view animal or human visitors in real time. Some doorbell cams even let you speak to whoever is at the door via your phone, a useful interaction to scare off would-be porch pirates or talk to delivery people. Most cameras integrate with your smart home hub or app to give you flexible accessibility. Save video clips for future reference as needed.

Which project will be featured at the free Kids Workshop?

Stop by for the Kids Workshop on September 5, 2026, from 9–noon or while supplies last. It's time to put together a school bus organizer! Your little builder can assemble their very own organizer for small toys and art supplies.
