Frequently Asked Questions About Your Store

Does The Home Depot have any deals on garage storage?

Get organized this year and enjoy more productivity. Projects are easier when you can find your supplies and tools. The Home Depot Storage Sale runs June 22nd through August 18th, 2026, in-store and online, and you can save on garage cabinets, garage shelving, storage bins, and storage systems by your favorite brands. We've got garage storage deals on everything you'll need for an organized garage or shed.

Does the San Diego Home Depot have back-to-school products for classrooms?

If you're a teacher shopping for back-to-school, come see us. From maintenance like cleaning wipes to the fun stuff for art projects, we've got it. Command hooks and writing utensils? Check. Glue guns and hot glue sticks to match? We have those, too. Find storage containers to keep it all organized, cleaning products, and more tissues and paper towels than you think you'll need. We support our educators, so drop by to get any missing school supplies.

What home repairs should I make before summer storms hit?

Be certain your home is ready for summer temperatures by repairing or replacing faulty parts of your home and hardscaping. If moisture gets inside the cracks, you might be dealing with mold. Check bricks and cinder blocks for cracks, and ensure indoor ceiling tiles are free from water damage. On your home's exterior, inspect roof shingles or metal roofing for rust or damage that can let water in. Keep gutters functional and clear to keep rain overflow from backing up into your home when storms arrive. Lastly, vinyl siding and chimney caps should be changed out if they're in poor condition.

What types of moving boxes do you have?

Make your move easier by picking up an assortment of moving boxes. We've got the sizes you're searching for, including specialty ones like TV and wardrobe boxes. Cushion your items with moving blankets and bubble cushion to ensure your belongings make it to your next location safely. Don't forget to check out our rental moving trucks if you need those as well.

Should I get an inverter generator or a portable generator?

Enjoy electricity in your home even after severe storms take it out. We've got the options you need when searching for a generator for sale. Inverter generators are cleaner and quieter than traditional portable generators. They'll adjust to the required load, making less noise when they create less power. When browsing generators, keep in mind that portable generators cost less and generate more electricity than inverter generators, but they're heavier and louder. For safety purposes, always run your generators outdoors, away from windows and doors.

Do you have wired or wireless doorbell cameras?

Enjoy privacy, peace of mind, and safety with a wired or wireless doorbell camera. Stop peeking through a window or peephole when you can see human or animal visitors in real time. Some doorbell cams even let you chat remotely via your phone, a useful interaction to scare off would-be porch pirates or talk to delivery people. Most cameras integrate with your smart home app or hub to give you flexible and easy accessibility. Choose to save video clips for future reference as it suits you.

When is the August Home Depot Kids Workshop?

Head to the Kids Workshop from 9–12 noon on 8/1/26. Introduce your children to the joys of building with this cool pint-sized rocket game. Building this small wooden spaceship is a great way to sharpen creativity, fine motor skills, and listening abilities. Team up with your kids to make this quick craft while supplies last. The best part is imagining the rocket launch, so leave some time to blast off!

    Pocket Hose is faulty product
I went to buy another Pocket hose because the one I purchased quickly had 3 pin hole leaks that developed large sprays. Design makes it impossible to fix. Personnel advised against the Pocket hose as many had been returned with the same complaint. Purchased Gorilla hose. Pocket hose should be removed from store inventory - with explanation posted.

      PROFITS OVER PEOPLE
Hire more employees. It's difficult to find help in this store. I'm sure it's due to this corporation putting profit over customers and employees.

Our Experience at Mira Mesa, San Diego Home Depot
The Home Depot representative who helped us on 2/11/26 with scheduling delivery for our metal door (H6679‑686606) was one of the most efficient, knowledgeable, and professional associates we’ve encountered in years. He made the entire process smooth and easy. We didn’t catch his name, but we want to say a sincere THANK YOU.

Self checkout. . .why is it ALL self checkout?
The entire store except for contractor services is all self checkout. So you got those 20 PVC pieces that have hard to scan bar codes? 10 screws that don't have bar codes? That bag of potting soil that weights 40 lbs and only has one barcode at the very bottom left hand side? Yeah. . .

                No antlers
Bought the 9ft Santa's sleigh with reindeer but the antlers were kissing. Called customer service and they said I have to wait up to 12 days to receive replacements. I'm not returning this though b cause it is sold out just about everywhere. I got lucky finding this one here but it was incomplete.

Beware of people in parking lot who follow you to your car
Multiple times, I have been followed to my car, and asked if I needed help. When you reply "no", they continue to assist. They begin to harass you when you deny their request for money. This has happened to me multiple times, and I have witness multiple incidents with the elderly. THIS IS THE ONLY STORE WITH THIS ISSUE. Clairemont, Carmel Mountain, Poway, I have not seen this issue, possible an issue with the more mesa home depot management team. Merchandise wise, they had what I was looking for.
