What additional precautions is The Home Depot taking in light of COVID-19?
The adjusted hours give stores the ability to staff appropriately and provide additional time to restock shelves and perform cleaning. As part of our normal practice, our stores and other facilities are cleaned and sanitized daily. Following guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), we've increased the frequency of cleaning and general hygiene maintenance in stores and other locations. We've also stepped up our efforts to disinfect high-traffic and high-touch areas like self-checkout, door handles, and bathrooms, as well as posting signage about handwashing and other preventative actions.
We're promoting social distancing in our stores and distribution centers, which includes stores limiting the number of customers inside at any given time. In addition to training our associates on social distancing, we've placed distancing markers at some of our checkout counters and are making overhead announcements on our store PA systems asking customers to practice social distancing.

They take an interest in what my projects are and often give advise and suggestions that help me decide on the proper equipment necessary. They also help out with fundraisers and that is very important to me. Community involvement is wonderful.

Don't order online! I ordered 3 items, the next day they cancelled 2 of them, and without confirming with me, charged me for the remaining third without letting me cancel the whole order. Imagine going to the grocery store and the cashier throws out 2/3rds of what you have in your cart and demands you pay for the remaining 1/3rd. My items were some basic hardware, do the right thing, notify me that you're out of stock, and let me decide if I want to wait or shop somewhere that can handle simple inventory. Is that too much to ask? At this store apparently it is.

Understand that people are still stressed from the Covid-19; especially workers that need to deal with the public -- but the paint department was extremely rude! They didn't even ask if they could help us as they stood there conversing with each other. When we asked them for help they got all upset claiming they probably couldn't make the paint anyway due to the lack of materials. Needless to say we did leave with the paint after waiting and attitudes -- NEVER again!
