Be certain your home is equipped for autumnal weather by repairing or replacing faulty parts of your hardscaping and home. If water gets inside the cracks, you could be dealing with damage. Check brick and cinder blocks for cracks, and ensure indoor ceiling tiles are free from water damage. On your home's exterior, examine roof shingles or metal roofing for damage that can let water in. Keep gutters fully functional to prevent water overflow from seeping beneath your shingles when storms arrive. Lastly, vinyl siding and chimney caps should be swapped out if they're in poor condition.

Having a generator means you're prepared year-round for whatever circumstances Mother Nature throws at you. Whether dealing with severe thunderstorms or strong winds, a portable generator lets you enjoy electricity when the elements take it out. When browsing generators for sale, keep in mind that portable generators are more affordable and generate more electricity than inverter generators, but they're louder and heavier. Always run your generators outside, away from windows and doors, for safety purposes.

Enjoy peace of mind, privacy, and safety with a wired or wireless doorbell camera. No more peeking through a window when you can watch human or animal visitors in real time. Some doorbell cams even let you talk to whoever is on your doorstep via your phone, a useful interaction for delivery people or to scare off would-be porch pirates. Many cameras integrate with your smart home hub or app to give you flexible accessibility. Save video clips for future reference as needed.
