Our store diverts waste from landfills by accepting rechargeable batteries, plastic plant pots, CFLs, and lead acid batteries for recycling.
Home Depot stores sent approximately 5.3 million pounds of shredded paper for recycling in 2022. This has helped the planet by preserving over 63,500 trees, keeping over 16,000 trash bags of solid waste out of landfills, saving over 50 million gallons of water, and conserving 7.8 million kilowatt hours of electricity.
We have decreased electricity consumption by over 52% in our U.S. stores since 2010.
The Home Depot's core values are based on doing the right thing for our customers and associates, and this commitment extends beyond our stores to our communities and the environment. We are your partners in environmental sustainability. Learn more about our commitment to economic responsibility.

Do you offer huge Halloween yard decorations?
Yes, we offer many gigantic outdoor Halloween decorations, including many life-sized animatronics. Make your yard the scariest on the block with giant Halloween decor options, including witches and skeletons. Skelly and Dean the Deathologist, a dapper bartender, are two current favorites. Halloween inflatables tend to be less scary and are an excellent choice for homes with children.
Do I need a generator?
Having a generator means you're prepared for any circumstances Mother Nature throws at you. Whether you're dealing with strong winds, blizzards, or severe thunderstorms, a portable generator lets you enjoy power after the elements take it out. When considering different generators for sale, remember that portable generators cost less and generate more electricity than inverter generators, but they're louder and heavier. Always run your generators outside, away from windows and doors, for safety purposes.
Why should I repair my roof before the cold sets in?
Ready your home for cold weather by replacing any broken parts of your home and hardscaping. If water freezes in the crevices, you could have problems. On the outside of your home, examine metal roofs or roofing shingles for rust or damage that could let water leak into your home. Gutters should be cleaned to prevent ice dams. Check brickwork and cinder block for cracks, and ensure indoor ceiling tiles are free from missing pieces and water damage. Lastly, vinyl siding and chimney caps should be swapped if in poor condition.
Are garage cabinets or sheds better for storage?
As you prepare for the holidays, stow what you don't need to enjoy extra space. Protect fragile items with moving blankets. Garage cabinets keep decorations, tools, and more out of the way. Remove summer belongings from the equation with shoe racks and other storage bins. If you need even more room, a new shed can give you plenty.
How do I check my Home Depot gift card balance?

You can buy gift cards at our stores or online at homedepot.com. If you receive a gift card, you can visit the Corvallis Home Depot and ask a cashier to check the balance for you or check your gift card balance online.
