How do I decorate for Halloween?
Start with general Halloween decorations. Then, narrow down if you want indoor Halloween decor vs outdoor Halloween decor, scary vs kid-friendly options, or traditional fall vs favorite classic Halloween decorations. Halloween animatronics and inflatables offer a quick solution for instant spirit. You can even have both sweet and scary elements with wreaths that combine holiday and fall elements in Halloween wreaths.
Do I need a generator?
We've got the variety you need when searching for a generator for sale. Inverter generators are quieter and cleaner than traditional portable generators. They adjust to whatever power load is requested. This means they'll make less noise in times of lesser demand. When considering different generators for sale, remember that portable generators are more affordable and generate more electricity than inverter generators, but they're heavier and louder. Always run your generators outside, away from windows and doors, for safety purposes.
Should I do siding repairs before it gets cold?
Ready your home for winter weather by repairing or replacing faulty parts of your hardscaping and home. If water freezes in the crevices, you could be looking at trouble. Check cinder block and brickwork for cracks, and verify indoor ceiling tiles are free from missing pieces and water damage. On the outside of your home, examine shingles or metal roof panels for damage or rust that could let water in. Gutters should be clear to prevent ice dams. Lastly, vinyl siding and chimney caps should be replaced if damaged.
What are some storage solutions for a crowded holiday home?
As you prepare for the holidays, stow unused items to free up space. Garage cabinets keep tools, decorations, and more out of the way. Shoe racks and other storage containers remove summer belongings from the equation. Shield fragile items with moving blankets. If you need even more room, a new shed can give you plenty.
How do I check the balance of my Home Depot gift card?
Home Depot gift cards are a popular present for any special occasion or during the holiday season. DIYers know they're fun to receive and to give. Buy gift cards online at homedepot.com or in our brick-and-mortar stores. If you receive a gift card, you can check your gift card balance online or visit your local Home Depot store and ask a cashier to check the balance for you. Use our gift cards to shop online or redeem them in-store. There are no additional fees to worry about.
