Can I rent a van?

If you'd like to be sure of what's in stock, call first to inquire about renting a Load 'N Go pickup truck, flatbed truck, or cargo van. Penske moving van rentals and moving trucks have different rules. You might also visit our truck rental page to see if the vehicle you need is at your store.
Can I choose how long to rent a truck?
Rent a pickup truck, van, or flatbed truck for as long as you need it. For short trips, 75 minutes could be plenty. Otherwise, consider renting it by the day or the week, depending on how long your project is. Don't forget to factor in the drive to and from the store, as you'll need to return it to the same store you rented it from. Penske moving truck rentals allow one-way rentals as well as round-trip options, and they have different terms. Make sure to read the terms and conditions before selecting a truck.
Should I refill the rental truck before I bring it back?
Yes, please fuel up the truck before you bring it back. Match the amount of gas that was in the tank when you got the rental. If you don't, you'll have to pay a penalty known as the fuel replacement charge.
Do I just need a driver's license to rent a truck?
No, you also need to be 21 or older, in addition to holding a valid driver's license. Depending on your state, you might require car insurance, as well as a deposit or credit card hold, too. We don't accept cash for Home Depot truck rentals, so please bring your credit card. Penske moving truck rentals have different requirements.
