When it's time to make the leap into a big DIY project, you might not have everything you need to get the job done. Don't let that stop you when you can stop by The Home Depot Simi Valley Tool and Truck Rental Center.
Tool Rental
Start your next home improvement project with confidence and the best tools for the job. Let The Home Depot Simi Valley Tool Rental Center expand your toolbox with the tools you don't have on hand. You can rent what you need and bring them back when you're done. If those rental tools just went from wanted to needed, we have used tools available for purchase. The retired rental tools are discounted compared to the new items in our aisles.
Rent Shop Vacs, Floor Sanders, Post Hole Diggers, and More
Tackle major projects with serious power tools. Take your scuffed wooden flooring to the next level with a floor sander rental and a shop vac rental to get the floors smooth and ready for refinishing. Construct a new fence around your property faster and more efficiently with an auger rental, then find other concrete tools to suit the job at hand.
Add Insulation When the Weather Is Cooler
To make your home more energy efficient, refresh your insulation in the spring, if possible, before it gets dangerously hot in the attic. Rent specialized equipment for insulation to install it correctly. Decide between a cellulose insulation blower or a fiberglass blower, and insulate those nooks and crannies with ease. You'll enjoy steadier utility bills and a more consistent home temperature with new insulation.
Truck and Cargo Van Rentals
To move large tool rentals or anything else, we keep trucks and cargo vans ready for rental. Although availability varies by store, we've got a selection ranging from pickups to flatbed trucks to cargo vans. Choose the right size for your project so you can keep your timeline on track. As your source for DIY projects, packing, and storage needs, it's easy to make us your go-to source for truck rental as well.
To get tools and transportation for your home improvement or DIY project, check out The Home Depot Tool and Truck Rental Center in Simi Valley. Renting the appropriate tools for the job makes a difference. We're your one-stop shop to get from doing to done.
How do I rent a tool or a truck?
Stop by your local Rental Center to see what's available. If you'd like to know what's in stock, call first to inquire about a truck or tool. You may also check out our tool and equipment rental or truck rental pages to see if what you need is offered at your favorite store. For more information on renting tools, read our Tool Rental FAQs, including equipment terms and conditions. Larger tools and all rental trucks require CLEAR verification.
Can I rent tools by the hour?
You can rent a tool for four hours or longer. It depends on how long you'd like to rent them. Small DIY projects may only require a short rental period, and bigger jobs aren't a problem either. You have options to rent tools by the day, week, or month, too. If you need it longer than anticipated, call the Rental Center to arrange an extension and avoid late fees.
When do I need to return the tools?
You can return the tools early if you finish your project sooner than predicted, but on time works, too. Just make sure to bring them back by the deadline listed on your rental paperwork. Please clean any residual dust, mud, and grime from the tool as well. If you need them longer, give the rental center a call to see if you can extend your rental period.
Do saw rentals come with saw blades?
Yes, power saw rentals generally come with blades, but we do recommend that you purchase your own. Your rental likely won't come with a new blade. However, you might get lucky and receive an excellent blade on the saw. As there's no guarantee, it's better to purchase a suitable blade, just in case you need it.
Do I need to refill the rental truck with gas?
Yes, please fill up the truck before you return it. Note the original fuel level when you receive the truck, and be sure to fill it with enough gas to match that same level. If you don't, you have to pay a penalty known as the fuel replacement charge.
Do I just need a driver's license to rent a truck?
No, you must hold a valid driver's license and be 21 or older. Be ready for CLEAR verification with its required selfie. Depending on your state, you might require car insurance, as well as a deposit or credit card hold, too. We don't accept cash for Home Depot truck rentals, so please bring your credit card. Penske moving truck rentals have different requirements, so review those if you plan to rent a Penske truck.
