How do I fix drafty doors?
If you have cold air seeping in under the door, check your door sweep, the rubber piece on the bottom of the door, for cracks and missing pieces. Replace it if it's torn. When a house settles unevenly, pieces that once fit snugly can go off-kilter. Gaps can form around the sides of doors or the thresholds may loosen with time. Fill the space with weather stripping or foam tape, and caulk any cracks in the wooden door frame. If you're still feeling drafts around the door, place an insulated fabric door snake along the ground.

What are good wintertime DIY projects?
In colder climates, it's challenging to work outdoors. However, cleaning up the yard before spring gives the earth time to resettle before plants start growing again. A few days organizing the shed or garage will pay off when the weather warms. You won't have to replace lost tools because you can find what you've got. Polish up the tools, clean the rest of the house with cleaning tools, and you'll be ready when the cold moderates and the sun comes out.

How can chainsaws help with winter and spring yard cleanup?
If you've got spare wood and extra wooden pallets sitting unused in a corner, cut them into pieces with a chainsaw in the springtime so you can dispose of them or store them properly. Spring is a good time to organize the firewood pile and trim tree branches too. Before firing up your Makita chainsaw, ensure that the chain isn't dull or rusted and that it's been oiled. Then, while wearing the proper safety equipment, use the chainsaw to cut the wood. Make evenly sized pieces for effective storage.

Are Kids Workshops offered at the Simi Valley Home Depot?
Our free Kids Workshops take place in-store every first Saturday of the month between 9am–noon. You may reserve your Kids Workshop kit by registering online for the event. We usually go to Thousand Oaks but went to Simi Valley today. What a great team of professionals they have there. The returns depart was exceptional, especially Devin and Alyssa.

              Excellent Customer Service
I recently came to Simi Home Depot to discuss the issue with a rebate. Sales Cashier Sherry was patient, professional, and willing to help. In the end the rebate was granted! Thank You Sherry and Simi Home Depot, I will definitely be back and loyal to Home Depot for any of my purchases! Well Done!

                Exceptional Customer Service
Stacey was amazing, I live in Thousand Oaks and the Home Depot there is much closer and has a larger footprint but I am disappointed with their service. Stacey took it upon herself to make sure she found the item I needed before I left. Stacey even delayed going on her lunch just so I wouldn’t get passed off to someone else and was taken care of. I’m sure from my experience that this is not a onetime event but that she consistently provides excellent customer service. Thank you

I’m a contraction and have been in dozens of Home Depot’s, I have to say this one is the best. This store not like others is fully stacked with everything you need, you need trim? Hardwood, vinyl they have it!You need great deals? They gave it! Do you need compressive employees? They have it! This is by far my favorite Home Depot great costumer service product availability and they are clean/organized!
