AWESOME! CHECKOUT TIME: The first checkout lane had a light on so I could pay with cash. I waited, although no one seemed to notice so I walked past the other registers close enough to the exit to get an associates attention. I was informed the light does not go off. Right away, I thought how anyone working the register area could not think to come up with a simple idea to put up an ‘out of service’ sign. It made me think that the cashier working the area has less then a middle school education. INCONVENIENCE. There are not enough registers that except cash and card available for check out. Some products will not let you continue scanning items at checkout til someone comes to fix it or type in a birthdate. For instance, spray paint. INCONVENIENT AGAIN. I was informed, by the same middle schooler, that I can put all of my cash in at once to pay. That did not work either. It spit the bills out but one. So, as I have in the past, I put them in one at a time and it worked. I do not need employment at Home Depot but I am glad to help out the next customer or two in line as I did during the whole circus performance.

I checked out & asked the cashier to get someone to load them in my car. She called 3 times with no response. After 10 minutes she asked if I’d like to speak with a manager. When he arrived I explained my problem & said if I couldn’t get assistance I wanted to return the items. His response was, “go inside and do it”. No attempt to correct the situation. Home Depot has lost me as a customer.

After 4 days I called for status but cashier Kelly told me store is not getting any shipment for this item and like to refund. I disagree to refund and asked if any other store has it. She found that Southtown (Unprofessional manager’s) store has few and called Southtown store to hold 1 for me. Kelly again asked me to return this one since I have to pay in Southtown store. I did agreed to return Kelly told we confirmed that item is same price in south town store(listen to recorded line if You think I am not telling truth). went to pick up and pay but price is double in that store( south county $59, online $99, Worse manager’s store (Southtown) $119), cashier called manager as per my request to come so that I can explain. But he refused to come and didn’t even talked to me on phone. I called south county store but Kelly was not available but someone verified the price with my order number. Still Southtown manager didn’t show up to meet me( almost 30 mins I was waiting,) south county store called them to verify price but still no help!! I was so mad and bought with full price again brought it to south county store, refunded and asked to check price, it’s $59 here. Then I explained cashier Marsha( very professional and need to go train Southtown manager how to speak or respect client) she explained why, apologized that someone told me it will be same price in Southtown store. I told her it’s not your fault, ignoring client is common in some employees( Southtown manager) not all. So, dear Home Depot customers, as Home Depot is Smart in manipulating price ( one store $59, another store 7.5 mile way is $119, online $99) buy from bad manager store or online whichever cheaper , return in the store it is cheaper and buy same time for 50% less. I know Home Depot will change their price after my this message!!! Who cares! As long as they don’t discriminate or manipulate price. I will call Monday to Missouri consumers protection/ FTC for discrimination and price manipulation, wasting my time and harassment .

As a homeowner and gardener, I depend upon Home Depot primarily for household and gardening supplies, and various tools and hardware needed for simple home improvement projects. I generally find what I need, and the location is convenient for me. However, my most recent shopping experience revealed almost universal non-compliance with simple COVID-19 precautions by employees and customers alike. If I do shop at this store again, it will only be online with curbside pickup.
