When does The Home Depot Black Friday 2021 event start at the Southtown store?
Our Black Friday event will run at our Southtown store and online between November 3 and December 1. Instead of a single day Black Friday event, you can relax and enjoy stress-free shopping without risking your well-being. We've also stepped up our efforts to disinfect high-traffic and high-touch areas like self-checkout, door handles, and bathrooms, as well as posting signage about handwashing and other preventative actions.
We're promoting social distancing in our stores and distribution centers, which includes stores limiting the number of customers inside at any given time. In addition to training our associates on social distancing, we've placed distancing markers at some of our checkout counters and are making overhead announcements on our store PA systems asking customers to practice social distancing.

We deliver curbside – order online for convenient store pickup daily until 6 p.m. Here's how:

The paint department associate was very friendly and listen to me without interruption and recommended a product right away. I was extremely please with the purchase and recommendation. AWESOME! CHECKOUT TIME: The first checkout lane had a light on so I could pay with cash. I waited, although no one seemed to notice so I walked past the other registers close enough to the exit to get an associates attention. I was informed the light does not go off. Right away, I thought how anyone working the register area could not think to come up with a simple idea to put up an ‘out of service’ sign. It made me think that the cashier working the area has less then a middle school education. INCONVENIENCE. There are not enough registers that except cash and card available for check out. Some products will not let you continue scanning items at checkout til someone comes to fix it or type in a birthdate. For instance, spray paint. INCONVENIENT AGAIN. I was informed, by the same middle schooler, that I can put all of my cash in at once to pay. That did not work either. It spit the bills out but one. So, as I have in the past, I put them in one at a time and it worked. I do not need employment at Home Depot but I am glad to help out the next customer or two in line as I did during the whole circus performance.

I’m a 74 year old woman. I wanted to buy 18 16x16 step stones. They are heavy & I could get no one to help me. I loaded 8 step stones & planned to get the other 10 later. I checked out & asked the cashier to get someone to load them in my car. She called 3 times with no response. After 10 minutes she asked if I’d like to speak with a manager. When he arrived I explained my problem & said if I couldn’t get assistance I wanted to return the items. His response was, “go inside and do it”. No attempt to correct the situation. Home Depot has lost me as a customer.

There was not enough stock out for a specific item we were looking for. An employee named Leo (whom was from another department & on his lunch break) graciously helped us out, found some additional stock so we could purchase our items. He Thanked us for shopping there & we Thanked him for helping us out so well...we also gave him a virtual hug (COVID).
