Worked great to bend some 1" EMT for a box offset. This was also used to bend some 90s to route through my garage

This conduit bender is huge and can readily handle up to 1" pipes to bend. The orange handle is sturdy and is of a length where you can get a good grip and have leverage to do the bending. This tool is very heavy and requires a certain amount of strength to use it. The pipes are heavy at 1" diameter or close to that size and the bending of the pipes requires some practice to get the hang of using it. Once you get used to it, it really gets the job done.

I was impressed and surprised to find that this was a "Klein" tool as in my experience they make either the best in the world or close to it... and made in the USA as well. My only problem with this tool was the orange "twist-bend limit stop" supplied that would enable one to make accurate and repeatable bends. Instructions showed photos and I found it impossible to install the stop so that it would work. It appeared to be too wide for this 1" tool and possibly it was made for a larger tool (1 1/4"?) and was included in error. That was my only disappointment.

This conduit bender is just another example of Klein's quality, professional products. The all metal construction and weight of this bender is a testament to how easy it will handle any task you encounter on the job. The raised number angle settings are clearly marked on the bender, it comes with laminated Zip Guides for your offset calculations and a plastic angle setter. Using the preset markings and solid construction I am able to bend up to 1 inch EMT easily and accurately saving money on factory bent pipe and connectors. 5 Stars.

This tool seems heavier than the stated weight of 11.6 pounds. The comparable aluminum bender feels like a toy compared to the size and weight of the iron bender. The overall length (pole and bender) is 45.5 inches and the bender section alone is 12.9 inches wide. The fiberglass pole feels sturdy and easily supports the business end of the tool. The orange plastic angle setter is a nice feature but can only be used on 10, 22.5, 30 and 45 degree bends. Just place the angle setter into the alignment notches on the inside of bender at the clearly marked appropriate/desired angle degree setting. This is a nice feature if you need to make multiple similar bends quickly. Take care that you don’t misplace it as I can see it doing a disappearing act when you least expect it. The large wide foot pedal allows you to put maximum force into your bend without slipping off. This purpose made tool can be used to bend 1 inch Electric Metallic Tube (EMT), ¾ inch Rigid Metal Conduit (RMC) and ¾ inch Intermediate Metal Conduit (IMC).

This review is for the 1 in. Iron Conduit Bender by Klein Tools. I do like Klein Tools and have yet to be disappointed. The conduit bender is no exception and there are really no moving parts, and it’s very heavy, so I should never have to get another one. Since you can purchase conduit pipes in typical curved shapes, this tool would probably be more for custom work or if you’re using conduit for a craft or art project. There are no instructions on how to actually bend the pipe, but it’s not rocket science; a one-step process – literally. There are easy instructions on how to set up the angle of the bend and I like that the instructions are laminated. The only improvement might be to add “wings” to the head so it’s more stable during the bending process. I’m not sure I’m explaining this correctly but just a flatter surface to touch the ground while bending a pipe.

USA Made! When looking for a strong heavy-duty conduit bender I went to Klein based on reputation and the many other reliable, well working Klein tools already in my toolbox. I felt a Cast Iron head would be sturdier and outlast an aluminum version. ALL PROS: the referenced angle markings (inside & outside of die) & symbols; the wide foot pedal does as indicated; built in spot to store the angle setter so it stays w/ tool; the bender and setter(s) have alignment notches & grooves so they stay put while bending the conduit; the setter keeps you from bending too far and allows for accurate bends; interior hook does its job; a quick setting guide is on the handle – and the one attached to the tool at purchase is heavy board paper with a laminate, which also should last for years pinned up to my corkboard. Really everything in the product description is true and all positive features on this. With Iron Head I think the fiberglass pole helps keep the tool at a tolerable, handleable total weight. Additionally, angle setter(s) of the various sizes can be purchased in an affordable 2pack if need arose. Just can’t say enough positive about this tool.

For the birds! We used this hefty conduit bender to build the sturdiest of bird-feeding stations! (see photos). Here in SE Texas, we get a remarkable variety of south-for-the-winter feathered friends. Simple shepherd-hooks just don’t stand up to big, heavy feeders. Now, everybody that sees our feeders wants to borrow the tool! Bending 1-inch conduit manually takes some strength, but always-reliable Klein provides a perfectly designed and constructed tool for the job. Leave the tags on. Lots of useful information you’ll want for easy future reference.

The Klein 1 inch iron EMT or 3/4 inch ridgid pipe bender arrived very quickly. It was all together and had the instructions and illustrations attached to it. I selected this bender because I've used Klein tools for the last 50 yrs. I like the iron composition and same with the handle. The specific feature is the bright orange handle to find it easily in low light etc. I will use it for all my heavy duty and larger pipe bending. The quality is excellent. Easy to use, it's working out as planned, and I like it.
