To check for continuity with this tester: 1. **Turn off the power:** Ensure the circuit you are testing is de-energized for safety. 2. **Touch the probes:** Place the tip of the tester on one end of the component or wire you are testing, and touch the metal clip on the back of the tester to the other end. 3. **Observe the LED:** If the LED indicator lights up, there is continuity between the two points. If the LED does not light up, there is no continuity. This tester is designed to test receptacles, fuses, electronics, lighting fixtures, and more. It tests from 50-250 VAC/DC voltage on energized circuits, and also tests continuity.
The light should not illuminate if the TOUCH button is not being pressed. If it is replace the batteries with two 1.5V button cell batteries. If the issue continues please contact us at customer.service@ecmindustries.com
