I read that this planter boxes cannot hold regular garden soil, topsoil, sand, clay or rocks. Can one not use potting soil to grow vegetables such tomatoes then?
The planting depth of the 48 in x 18 in Rustic Cedar Planter Box is 9 inches deep. This planter is perfect for growing tomatoes and can house two large tomato plants. You can use potting soil.
Are the bottom pieces close enough together so that I wouldn’t have to use the fabric liner?
