Questions & Answers
Is the tiled trench top removable for cleaning and cleaning out clogs? How do you remove it since there will be no holes to lift from like the tile-redi grated trench system?
Yes, the tiled trench top is removable for cleaning and clearing clogs. While it doesn't have lift-out holes like the Tile Redi grated trench system, the tileable trench grate is designed to be adhered with silicone. This allows you to remove the tiled grate when necessary for cleaning or maintenance. You can find more detailed instructions on how to remove the grate in the installation guide provided with the product or on the product page online.
I am looking for a 36x36 single threshold shower pan that I can tile. I assumed that the drain would be dead center, exactly 18 in from all sides - which unfortunately would land directly on the floor joist. I saw the exact specs for a fiberglass shower pan which showed the drain on that is actually only 15 in from the back (and 18 from the sides), which would work perfectly and avoid the joist. Is this an industry standard? Can I expect this product's drain to be 15 in from the back?
