It is a one-piece box built with high-impact, non-corrosive plastic and a raised drip guard that prevents potential leaks. It has a recessed design that accommodates 1-inch drywall. It comes with a pre-installed support bracket, a faceplate cover, and 1/4-turn hot and cold ball valves for shutoff during maintenance. The valves include hammer arrestors that prevent pipes from shaking and pounding. This washing machine outlet box has a 1/2-inch sweat inlet connection and a 3/4-inch male hose thread outlet. what is the best way to open up the drain . the housing is very delicate and looks like the hole assembly will crack?
The housing is made of relatively thin plastic, so it's delicate around the pre‑punched drain opening area. Use a sharp utility knife or rotary tool to score and finish separating the pre‑punched section.
Are there hammer arrestors replaceable?
Yes, the hammer arrestors on this model are threaded and can be replaced individually without needing to replace the entire valve or outlet box.
can I install this in an inverted position?
It's not recommended. Most arrestors use a gas or air chamber to absorb pressure and installing them upside down can allow water to fill the chamber over time, reducing their effectiveness.
Can these arrestors be replaced when they go bad?
