looking for a frameless glass without metal channels. Would like glass to sit on silicone rivets(correct word?)
The Linea panels sit in metal u-channels that are minimal in appearance yet offer a very safe and secure installation. We are not aware of a shower panel installation that utilizes silicone rivets. As you can see Dream Line does have aluminum channels that the glass panels sit in, they're 5/8" wide by 7/8" tall. Which is almost nothing when your looking at the panel. On the other hand there's nothing stopping you from setting the panels on rivets and siliconing (?) the panels. The wall is another problem, you could tile both curb and wall around the panels (with silicone). Good luck with your project
So the glass comes separate from the frame, but I’d worry about the stability of not using it. Needs the frame to hold it up. Even with full frame, it is noted in the instructions not to lean on it.
Is this for one or a set of doors?
These are actually not doors but fixed panels. You get 2 glass panels with all the hardware to installed them, the only product you'll have to buy at Home Depot is 100% clear silicone. Also you don't have to make a corner, you can put them parrallel with each other on a shower curb (if you have a 2 headed shower and enter the shower between the 2 panels).
This is for 2 glass panels.
