What is the setting for marathon fertilizer?
Thank you for your question. The setting of the spreader is an estimation as coverage is likely different between brands since the coverage is determined by both application and granular size. Applying granular pesticides with a handheld spreader can be a health concern if the product contains any pesticides. If there is no spreader setting for hand-held spreaders on the bag, it is best to not use a hand-held spreader with the product. With the product being a non-Scotts brand fertilizer, we suggest reaching out to the company that manufactures the fertilizer you are inquiring about. The batteries in this product should last for several applications depending on how large your lawn is and what you are putting down. If you are putting down heavier products over a large area the batteries will run out faster.
The life of the battery will also depend on the make of battery used.
