How deep is the drawer?
The drawer interior on Model# 1468 measures 8.5 in. high.
Can this in fact be used for cutting and chopping (vegetables, fruit etc)?
Model# 1468 has a butcher block top and it can be cut on, but the knife will leave marks on the top. It is recommended that you use a cutting board to keep the top looking nice.
I want to make sure i understand dimensions of the width including both sides folded DOWN. From the answers I read it’s a total of 25”. True?

can this be used without the caster wheels? i prefer a freestanding unit.
Model# 1468 can be used without the wheels, however, that will make the height of the unit about 3" less.
When the drop leaf is in use what type of support does it have? Is there a metal rod to hold it up or a wooden piece?
When the dropleaf is up it is supported by 2 metal dropleaf supports.
It has a metal support but it’s not that sturdy. My grandson leaned on it and it bent. I need to replace the brace. Just haven’t had the time. I now have a wooden spoon between the support and the butcher block. Hey! It works! I LOVE this cart!!!

Yes, there is a metal bar, with a finger grip that pulls out from under to support the drop leafs, and is slid back to allow it to drop. The support is very sturdy.
Yes, you pull a metal rod out from under the table. The end of the rod is curved so you can hook it easily with your finger.
