How is this stuff getting positive reviews?
If you ever run across this stuff, just keep running. It sounds good. plant food made from recycled plants. Organic. 5-4-5... It all sounds like a good idea for a mid season fortifying plant food. I mixed this 4Lbs into two 5gal buckets of very old composted chicken manure. I use this old chicken manure all the time as filler and soil amendment with no ill effect. I guess I didn't mix it too consistently because the deleterious effect was not completely consistent. But, over night the results were disastrous.

Did you know we throw away over 30 million tons of food a year. So Ecoscraps recovers some of that and makes fertilizer. This contains no animal manure just food waste made into these light brown crumbles that I can only describe the smell as green. The bag NPK is listed as 5-4-5 and is used for you leafy greens. I mixed this in the soil and planted parsley, sage and lettuce. I am happy to say they are all growing great.

I have a humble little herb and leafy green bed on the side of my house. I grow a pretty nice variety of herbs like dill, sage, thyme and what not, but I haven't been doing the best job feeding them. This plant food has already perked everything up, I've noticed my arugula leafy's getting larger than before, and things having a nice darker shade of green.

Over the years I have tried many different types of plant food. This organic brand has become my favorite. I am an advanced master gardener and use this food to feed my herbs and green plants every month during the growing season in Michigan. I have found that by feeding them, they grow better and stay healthier without disease. This 5 nitrogen, 4 phosphate, and 5 potash formulation can be used when planting or for supplementation during the season.
If used when planting, I would mix 2-3 cups of food into the top of the soil with new plants. Otherwise, I simply use this on existing plants by sprinkling into the top of the soil once a month. My plants are healthier and greener. There is nothing to be afraid of in this mixture.
I love the results and would definitely recommend to any gardener.

This review is for EcoScraps 4 lbs. Herb and Leafy Green Plant Food. I wasn't a believer of organic food
then I got some organically grown chive from a friend and I compared that to the regular chive I bought from supermarket now I am all in. I try to eat organic and grow my own fruit and veggie. This plant food seems to work and much faster than I expected. I would give it a five star is it is water soluble. They say you have to work this plant food into top soil for established plants. That's a bit of work for me.

Home Depot kept me apprised when the delivery was delayed a few days. This stuff is…aromatic, and it seems to be helping the plants it is feeding since they are quite healthy.
