I haven’t put anything very heavy and it’s caving in

Rainy day project, under sink organizer. Did some search, metal units subject to rust and expensive, due to high moisture area, this unit is plastic, found at Home Depot $15.00, had to order, but free shipping to your store,5 days. Unit is adjustable to fit around piping, but I choose to the right side, more stable, easy to assemble around drain pipe. Great for kitchen or bath vanity cabinets. Good value. $

Easy way to establish order to under sink storage. The device is adjustable in length (side to side under the cabinet) as well as the height of the shelves. In the picture attached I am using the "narrowest" setting. It is very easy to adjust, and you can change the configuration as much as you wish. Only complaint is that in its widest setting, the middle sags under the weight of the cleaning supplies I put on top. It would be nice if it came with a middle piece to provide support in the wider configurations.

If you have a cluttered cabinet under your sink, then this is what you need. You can position the slats in such a way that they go around whatever plumbing may be in the way. Unfortunately, the design of the thing isn't very good. There's quite a bit of lateral movement, the middle of rods sag with any amount of weight (especially if the ends are far apart), and the slats themselves don't click into place, especially if placed over the thinner end of the rods. With all this in mind, it is a handy product and helped organize at lease one of our under-sink cabinets, the execution is just somewhat lacking.

The photographs pretty much tell the whole story. This nifty little shelf (that can easily be adjusted for size) has made our 'under the kitchen sink' space a much more efficient storage area. The shelf can be assembled and installed in a matter of minutes and as can be seen, makes things much neater and the material much more accessible and far less cluttered.

You could use this in any cabinet, but its design is made to work with the pipes under your sink. Ideally, you don't put this together then stick it under the sink. You put it together under the sink, such that it goes around and accommodates the pipes under there. Putting it together is very simple. The two sides of the frame slide together. The rods attached to the sides via simple plastic screws. You can adjust the length of the unit and the hight of the shelves, but not the depth. What makes it so versatile to accommodate the pipes/garbage disposal is that the shelf surfaces are in multiple pieces so you can snap them on or take them out as needed around your pipes. How much shelf space you get really depends on your plumbing. Its all plastic, but tough enough to support the normal cleaning supplies you'd find under a sink.

Some kitchen sinks are less crowded than others. Mine has a lot of plumbing in the way for vertical organization. This system offers a lot of flexibility in the locations of the shelves and ability to remove shelf planks to allow for things like drainpipes and disposers to pass trough the shelving. The benefit of this vertical system is to see most of the items below your sink better, but in my case it was neutral storage capacity and harder to get the items because I could not use every nook in the base of the cabinet. Quality of the plastic parts was average to low where there was plastic flashing which is the "spill" of the plastic part resulting in sharp edges, especially on the thumbscrews. Its a reasonable option to try and I like the flexibility but It wasn't a better alternative for my specific case.

2 shelf under sink storage shelf I got this shelving system to optimize the space under my sink. The things that I thought were important was; that it could be made wider by extending the horizontal rods. The height of the 2 independent shelves could be set based on my needs. If you look to the end frame you’ll see there are a set of holes about 1 inch apart that the rods would fasten onto. When I opened the package and laid the parts out to start assembling. The design was very cleaver in a simple approach to make a shelf unit. I found that the ends of the rods were treaded so they went into the end supports. Like I mentioned before the heights are what the buyer need based on the item’s height. One of the threaded ends came off. I found that the threaded ends were made of molded plastic. I snapped it back into white tube. It didn’t take much force to pop it back in. This was a concern that the shelf would not hold much weight before it let loose. I finished the lower shelf and then measured for the second shelf. The shelves are made of molded plastic that snap onto the horizontal rods. Each shelf section was about 4 inches wide. You would then fill the shelves with these snap in parts. I extended the shelf out to the inside measurement of 27 inches. Based on the width of my shelf I made, I had 2 left over shelf parts. This shelving unit is very light weight (maybe 3 lbs.) so you would want to use it for light items that would not spill or break if the shelf were to collapse. I would recommend that you see it before buying. Home Depot has a less expensive shelf unit (Furinno Wayar) that might work out better. I’ll give this shelving unit a try only because of the way it was designed, looks like it could. Overall recommendation would be to not buy this shelf unit based on threated plug ends that the rod need to secure the outside frame. I think they will pop out if there is too much weight on the shelf.

Plastic and very cheap. Assembled it. Fell apart in seconds. Not durable enough. Wouldn't take it even if it was for free.
