How many pounds of cat litter could this hold?
It depends if your pouring the cat litter from the bag I would say that it could hold up to 20 pounds. If your sitting the bag in there I would say it could hold two 10 pound bags

yeah i dont see why not, dog food for sure and if you go through rice at a reasonable rate that shouldnt be an issue
I have dog food in ours! Works great but I will say it does not have a snap right lid so if you have a dog that gets into things that may be an issue.
It would hold a 25lb bag of dog food - but insects would get into it. You could use it for bird seed, but I wouldn't use it for dog food...
Yes and no - if it can be kept in an area where there is no moisture. The lid can be easily opened so you don't want any moisture and/or critters getting in there. The opening on the lid does not snap closed it just flaps down and up. I use for my cat litter.
No. The lid doesn’t snap shut or keep thing air tight. It’s just a pathetic flap. So won’t keep out vermin or bugs or pests. No better than keeping dog food, rice, sugar etc in it’s original packaging.
