Hello Kelli, SoundBarricade is a floating underlayment designed for laminate, floating engineered wood, luxury vinyl plank (LVP), and similar floating floor installations. It is not intended for use beneath glue-down hardwood flooring. For glue-down wood flooring installations, the adhesive should bond directly to an approved substrate, such as properly prepared plywood, OSB, or concrete. Installing a floating underlayment beneath the flooring may interfere with the adhesive bond and could contribute to movement or other installation issues. For condo projects, we recommend following the flooring manufacturer's installation guidelines and using only sound-control systems specifically approved for glue-down wood flooring applications. Always verify that any sound-control product meets both the flooring manufacturer's requirements and any applicable building or condominium acoustic standards.
