Is it self cleaning?
No, our Retro Ranges do not have a self-cleaning function. For instructions on how to clean the oven, you can find them in the manual. Typically, a self cleaning function is turning the oven on very hot to burn any particles in the oven.
Oven will not stay lit once knob is released

Without power can the top burner be lit with a lighter?
Yes, the cooktop burners can be lit manually in the case of a power outage
does this cook top burner have flame out safety control valves ? gas only flows if burner is lighted ?
The oven control has a flame safety device built into the body of the thermostat. Presence of a gas ignition source (pilot) is verified by a flame safety probe. This flame safety probe actuates the internal safety device to allow gas into the oven burner when the oven is turned on. If there is a loss of gas ignition during opera- tion, the flame safety device will close off gas flow to the oven burner and pilot.
what do I need to fit this stove for propane?
A Propane (LP) Conversion Kit is included with the purchase of this range.
