There could be a few reasons why your ice maker's red light indicates it's full when no ice is present: 1. **Sensor Malfunction:** The ice level sensor might be faulty, incorrectly signaling that the ice bucket is full. This would prevent the ice maker from producing more ice. 2. **Ice Bridge:** Sometimes, ice can freeze together in the ice bucket, forming a "bridge" that blocks the sensor. Even though the bucket isn't visually full, the sensor might be obstructed by the ice bridge, triggering the full signal. 3. **Control Board Issue:** In some cases, a problem with the ice maker's control board can cause erratic behavior, including false "ice full" signals. 4. **Wiring Problem:** A loose or damaged wire connecting the ice level sensor to the control board could also be responsible for the incorrect signal. If you've checked for ice bridges and the problem persists, it's best to consult the manufacturer's troubleshooting guide or contact a qualified appliance repair technician for further assistance.
I couldn't find the decibel rating for this machine, but I recently got one and it runs a tad louder than my dishwasher which is at 50 decibels. I would guess this machine runs at 55 decibels max. It is noticeable in the kitchen but not in nearby rooms.
This is manual cleaning.
