These replacement bulbs are designed for electric string lights with E12 or C7 sockets. They require a 120V power source. Solar string lights typically use a different low-voltage system and socket type, so these bulbs would not be compatible.

    Great set of LED replacement bulbs. I ordered these thinking that they were a medium base bulb that I could use in my larger string of bulbs around my back porch. They are actually a small base bulb like a candelabra bulb. I removed the old C9 Christmas bulbs from a string of lights and replaced them with these. Worked perfectly. They let off a nice warm light. I strung them up over the backyard. Looks great. I would reccomend these.

    I got these lamps to replace the string lights on my back patio/bistro area. I didn't check the listing as well as I should and assumed they were standard Edison base bulbs. These are actually the smaller screw in bases. I'll have to grab a new light string to use them, however the bulbs seem to be very nice. They are a single filament design. They are made of glass, and are a crystal clear design. Packaging was excellent and there was no damage to any of the bulbs. I tested on out by screwing it into a nightlight, and it seems to be bright enough, considering there will be 25 of them over a relatively small area. I'm looking forward to getting the new cord with smaller bases. Overall it's my fault for not looking closer at the base size. No to search for those Christmas light strings, as these should screw right into them!

    Sight unseen and I didn't check any of my string light sets. These replacement bulbs are not my size. I will be buying the correct string light set to match this bulb size during my next Home Depot shopping trip, so that I can use these replacement bulbs. The socket size is a size smaller than what I currently have. No problem because I think the more string lights in the yard the better. I like hanging globe string lights because it makes any night a party night with a very festive and happy glow! They arrived very well packaged in a cardboard box completely filled with a sturdy foam liner that holds each bulb securely for shipping.

    These are very attractive replacement bulbs for your string lights. They give off a nice bright white light. They do not get hot which is very nice for either indoor use or outdoor use during the colder seasons. Because they are LED bulbs they will use very little electricity and will last a long time. It would be worth it to replace your incandescent bulbs with these LED bulbs.

    What can I say but this LED light bulb is just way superior to the older incandescent type. LED is the future and the way to go. These bulbs claim that they will last 10,000 hours while the same lights in the incandescent version claim only 1,000 hours. That's pretty impressive. So they are energy-saving and almost indestructible once installed. What more can you ask? BTW - They must be screwed in tightly or else you may think they are not working.
