While it may be possible to use these screws on composite decking, we recommend using the RT Composite™ Exterior Trim Screw is designed specifically for attaching composite materials, making it suitable for use on composite decking. Its features include reverse threading to prevent mushrooming and a clean finish, which is ideal for such applications. I need to know what type of torx screw I need to build a 10-gallon aquarium stand. I will use maple wood in 2"x 4" and 2" x 2" respectively. It needs the strength to hold at least 120 lbs. of a tank, decorations, equipment, fish, and water.

Are these screws suitable for 5/4x6 cedar decking on raised garden beds

How many square feet per box? please
Thank you for contacting us. A general rule of thumb is 350 screws per 100 square feet if using deck boards 6 inches wide with joists spaced 16 inches apart. With deck boards 4 inches wide, expect to use 480 screws for the same joist spacing. There are also many deck fastener calculators found online.

Hi, I'm Andrew from GRK. Deck Elite screws provide many benefits including eliminating the need for predrilling while fastening pressure treated 5/4" boards. Please be aware of the screw length to allow proper embedment into the deck joists.
