    Q:I am running a 2hp pump motor, with a 2hp K Rain Hydrotech pump starter and an Orbit 57900 timer. I there another relay that is needed? Is another relay needed? This system had been working well, but now a P shows up on the display.

    A:  If you already have a pump connected to the system, a second would not be needed unless the first pump is failing so you will want to reach out to K-rain about troubleshooting steps for their pump to ensure it is working properly.

        Q:I have a Hydrotek 2520 and purchased the bhive 4 zone controller. Found out I needed another piece to install and looks like this relay is needed. Is there anything else I need to get to have a fully functioning unit?

        A:  I don't own a bhive, but basically, this pump relay, has one purpose. Provides 120V to the pump, when it receives signals from the controller. The signal from the controller is 12V, typically I route it with the Pump//Common at the controller, it shall activate the 120V for the pump to works. I personally installed down the 120V line a GFCI exterior plug. This serves for the pump disconnect in case of shortings. Hope this helps

          Just installed relay box along with Orbit Digital Timer. Everything needed to install the relay is included (screws and wire nuts). Cables are marked well and instructions are easy to understand. It works !
