Q:I have a frame for a queen size bed but I do not have the slats to put in what is the price I need four

Answer This Question

A:  This is lath, not slats. To support a mattress you would want half a dozen oak slats at least 3/4" thick x 3" wide, dovetailed in across the wooden bed frame. Or you could use a hollywood steel frame with the center bar and not need any slats.

A:  $5.48  but if your using it for slats I’d recommend using 1x4 instead

Q:Could these be used to weave through Welded Wire fencing to make a basket weave?

        Answer This Question

A:  They are not flexible enough for this use.

        by|Jun 10, 2022

A:  Probably not a good application. These are pretty stiff, about 1/4" thick, and would require softening and a lot of work to weave. It would depend upon wide spacing of the wire fencing, and if you were willing to take a lot of time to soak the lathe to make it more flexible. Although it might be possible with a lot of work, I don't think you would be happy with it.

            Worked for me
I needed the boards for a couple of projects and these were great. I went into the store and had to dig through a lot to get straight pieces but for a dollar and change a board I think it was a great deal. These are cheap lattice pieces I'm not sure what everyone is expecting. Purchase dimensional lumber if you want exact.

              They were fine.
They were alright. They got the job I need them for done, but a ton of the were warped, had holes, or had cracks or crazy knots. I ordered 6 initially but had to order three more on two separate occasions because of how warped they were. Eventually I just didn’t want to drive there again and made do with the least warped ones. They got the job done, but if you need them to look very nice or be very accurate, you’ll need something else.
