Every piece of 1 in. x 12 in. x 12 ft. Premium Kiln-Dried Square Edge Whitewood Common Board is perfect for a wide range of uses, from house framing to basic interior finishing applications. Uses include carpentry, hobbies, furniture, shelving and general finish work. With its easy to glue, good nailing and screw holding properties, this product meets the highest grading standards for strength and appearance. Its straight grain and uniform texture has low shrinkage and is easy to work by both hand and machine tools. In addition, it has great paint retention properties, making it fairly easily to treat with preservatives.

  • Lumber can be primed and painted or sealed and stained
  • Highly recommended sealing red knots with shellac based sealer prior to priming and painting to prevent bleed through

They work great for pantry shelving and do not need middle support up to about 40", anything over 40 inches long should have some sort of center support installed.

With proper staining, could these 1x12's be used for exterior board-and-batten siding replacement...

I personally would not use spruce for exterior siding or trim as it won't last as long as cedar or cypress boards.

can this product be used to wrap beams under porch?

Not safely. Use a 2x12 x12 instead. A 2x12 (any length) is walked on by carpenters, roofers and painters weighing well over 80 pounds.

would this be safe for childrens closet? any chemicals? need 101 inch length by 31 inch wide
