Questions & Answers

What kind of wood is the best for a bed frame?
ByJan 23, 2026
1 Answer |
Answer This Question

for the frame itself we recommend using hardwood for its strength. Pine would not be strong enough to support the weight.

Do these still need to be sanded? I just bought some they feel so smooth
            ByJun 8, 2024
            1 Answer |
            Answer This Question

They don't need to be but sanding them with 150 grit before staining or painting will help the wood absorb the stain.

Is this pre-sanded? If not, what sanding grit level is best? I will be pre-conditioning, staining, and sealing. I plan on joining multple pieces and using this as a mantel above electric fireplace

The select edge whitewood board is so perfect without any black spots which i am happy received it. If you don't want to buy 4x8 whitewood plywood to cut then you should get this one instead which it easy to install anything to cover the plywood shelves which I used for my new wood shelves. Only one con is you have to pay little extra for a nice edge whitewood board instead of buying a 4x8 whitewood plywood.

Not even close to 3/4" thick
At best this 1" nominal is actually 5/8" thick, not 3/4" as it should be. Guess I need to measure before buying lumber at Home Depot

I use this for my back shelving trim and it has held up with the other shelving I have created.
