Not quality like with other HD orders.
Low grade. Every one of the boards was twisted about 6 inches in a span of 10ft, and one was bent in addition to being warped.

I needed this for a trim board for a garage door that had rotted out. Once i measured it and then test fit it, I siliconed the strip top and bottom and along the front facing edge and screwed it in. I let the silicone dry and then painted it… Done!!

Great Value for Board & Batten, but Check for Warping
I recently purchased several of these 1x4 whitewood boards for a board and batten accent wall project. For the price, the wood quality is generally good and the kiln-drying process definitely helped with consistency. The boards took paint well and the square edges made installation relatively clean. My one major concern, however, was that a significant portion of the stock I picked up showed signs of warping or twisting shortly after purchase. While I was able to work around the warped pieces and still achieve a stunning final result for my board and batten wall, I recommend taking extra time in the store to carefully select the straightest pieces possible. It's a great, cost-effective option, just be prepared to potentially sift through a few bowed boards.

Perfect wood for a variety of home needs. I used this to replace rotten wood around my exterior windows. This lumber was extremely straight and nicely finished. It has no weather proofing so you will need to make sure it’s painted and properly caulked to prevent it from rotting.

This piece of wood we used to hand build a door frame to hang a vintage door that was left behind in our house. Our house was built in 1937, so we have been doing lots of renovation. While this wood did the job, it was hard to get things straight without a table saw. I went through many pieces of this wood at the store, and nearly all of them were very crooked looking down both the .75 inch end and the 3.5 inch end. We were able to make it work though.

Ratting this product is difficult. Its value is heavily dependent on what you intend on using it for. It is certainly not construction grade since the boards have one or more defects in them such as; check, wane, shake, splits, knots, twist, bow, crook, cup, heart. It appears that, for the most part, the boards are from the outer edge or very near the center of the tree since all board tend to have knots or the heats. In some locations the bunks are stored out side and get soaking wet, leading to warping when you get them to the work site. The soaking of the wood is handing deficiency or storage deficiency of the store that degrades the product, so beware. This doesn’t mean that the product is not worth buying. In applications that do not require construction grade material this product is something to be considered, however, you may find yourself fishing through the pile for boards that are suitable for your project even though it does not require high grade material. You may need to minimize lose knots, cupping, crook, and so on. I use small section of long boards to make boxes, modular storage units, ext. Using small sections minimizes some of the adverse effects of the inherent defects of this. Some defect, such as bark inclusion's, and nicely shaped knots can actually add to the projects appeal if they are located in the right places and worked in the right way. Although these boards are not high grade construction boards, they are relatively cheap. Speak to the store management regarding soaking wet wood. When the wood is wet you do not know what you are buying. Good luck, and have fun with you project!

I've been picking up some 1x6 and 1x4 when ever I stop by, and fine ones that match my pile that I'm making. I'm going to make them ship-lap, stain them a white pickle. Take down the ceiling in a bedroom with the joists, spray foam the roof between the rafters and then put these up...and have a craftsman vaulted ceiling.
