This product is commonly referred to as "shiplap" lumber. I like the look of it but finding consistent quality pieces is somewhat challenging. You have to contend with warpage, knotholes and rough surfaces. Once you find enough pieces to complete a wall it is important to let them adapt to the temperature and humidity present in the install location which can take a few days to a few weeks. I am using this for the walls in my 16 x 24 workshop so it will take a lot of lumber to complete the job. I may have to go to several Home Depot stores in my area to find enough quality pieces. Cannot understand why they refer to this lumber as "Premium".

Nice boards IF you pick them out yourself
These are nice, lightweight, white pine boards. I had to sort through about 70 in the store to get the 30 I needed, so I would strongly recommend not getting these delivered or pre-pulled as many were very warped! Some variance in the nickel gaps, but this can be minimized by closely reviewing the product in advance and using a level to keep your runs level.

I used this shiplap foe my 325 sqft patio cover ceiling. I think it looks great. I need to trim it, paint and hang a ceiling fan. As with all lumber you will encounter warped & damaged boards. I returned about 15%. There is a good side marked with the SKU sticker. The main portion of the board is slightly narrower on the good side, than the back side. The back side in most cases is a good enough finish to use if the "good" side has a blemish. I tried to use only good or back sides in a row so the grove between rows lined up. I used a rafter square to gap or create a groove between boards to mimic the "nickel gap" look a lot easier to deal with slightly warped boards and it looks great. A finish nailer with 3 nails per truss works perfect.
