Depends on project-Byer Beware
WW Oaked Stain: Consulted Weather Wash company about the color change from light gray to brown and dark gray despite using WW polyurethane Satin as recommended on a hardwood floor project. WW company said it was because my floor was "old." The floor was prepared correctly, sanded using a flooring machine, and really in good shape. We applied 1 coat of the WW oaked stain-and re-applied in some areas that needed a bit more using a paintbrush; allowed correct drying time, loved the color but it rubbed off on socks/rags etc. After several days, applied regular polyurethane with brush in closet and it turned yellowy-brown. Followed recommendation of WW to use their brand polyurethane ($99/ gallon!!!!) as it is advertised to dry clear, and not yellow the stain. It darkened the stain, and turned it brown so changed color to a walnut/dark gray mixture, and the floor is pretty dark; had to do 2 coats because the WW-poly leaves drip marks, even if you quick go over them within 30 seconds; after painting over, it seems as if you blended it, but it dries with the same drip mark spots-requiring re-sanding, re-staining, reapplication of WW poly on those spots and trying to blend them with the area around the spots-a giant headache. We have done wood stain/polyurethane projects in the past, but our first time with WW products; In the end, we spent a lot of money, time, to get the color of a floor min-wax or other stain could provide. Didn't have a good experience with the color WW Oaked or with WW poly/ products in general. Color cannot be achieved with WW Poly applied.

Great product, easy cleanup. I used polyurethane and it changes the color somewhat but it’s the look I was trying to achieve. Depending on how dark you want it, it can take multiple coats.

      Exceeded Expectations!!
This wash far exceeded my expectations. We used on cheap pine wood and plain board and it looks amazing. This was my first wood working project and I will use this stain again for sure!!

Easy to use, even while staining a wood wall (made from salvaged pine flooring) with a foam brush. The stain has a good consistency, and there were limited drips with the brush (wood was already fastened to the wall which made staining a little more difficult). Would’ve likely been even easier with a rag. Color came out well on the first coat, but I added a second to make it a tad darker. I’d definitely recommend this product.

Used this product on an unfinished oak Stair Nose. I installed wood look porcelain tile planks on my stair landing and needed to fabricate a stairnose to match. This worked perfect. I used one coat of the Weather Wash and 4 coats of polyurethane and it came out perfect. Great product!
