Can the Zep 32 oz. Professional Spray Bottle be used for a replacement bottle for Rain-X Original Glass Water Repellent Spray bottle?
We are not able to comment on applying a competitor product in our Zep Pro Sprayers.
Can this bottle be used to spray cayenne pepper solution (cayenne + water + dawn)?
Our sprayer should have not issues spraying that solution. We would recommend flushing the sprayer head out with water after use to prevent any buildup that could damage the sprayer. Please see label for more information.
Can I use this sprayer for home made borax cleaning solution. 1/4 cup of borax with 16 fluid ounces of water. Borax is high in alkalinity.
High alkaline contents will erode the sprayer over time. To help increase longevity, we recommend not using the bottle for storage and cleaning out the sprayer head with water.
Can the sprayer be used with d limonene based cleaners
It can but we do not recommend using the sprayer as a way to store these types of cleaners. The bottle itself is very resistant to these chemicals however over time the d-limonene will break down the components of the sprayer head. We recommend flushing the sprayer head out with water after use to extend its working life.
What Alkaline PH is it rated/safe to use with?
Thank you for the question! This sprayer will work fine with high pH products. Alkalinity may be a better reference, if very high, it will affect the sprayer over time. Chlorine will also affect the sprayer if left in contact for long periods. These sprayers are somewhat resistant as a use tool, but it is best to empty any caustic products and rinse the sprayer between uses and not use the sprayer as storage for the product to help extend its working life.
Is this spray bottle compatable with 99% Isopropyl Alcohol?
We would not recommend this. 99% Isopropyl Alcohol is considered a solvent which can shorten the lifespan of the bottle. It can also be highly combustible if not diluted, posing a safety hazard.
Is the nozzle adjustable?
Yes, the nozzle is adjustable. It can create a fine mist or up to a 30 ft. stream.
