How is it attached to the downspout
You can use a #8 x 1/2" rust resistant sheet metal screw to secure it to the downspout.

My downspout and elbow A are only 1and 3/4in from the concrete bottom. Will this have enough clearance to fit?

How long are these supposed to last mine broke in less than a year I can use the big end and screw it on
We are unable to define a set life expectancy due to the adjustment frequency, environmental exposure and maintenance. Screws can be used to secure the Flex-A-Spout to the downspout.
Can a rodent guard be put on the end of this?
Yes, while the manufacturer does not offer a rodent guard, you can fabricate one yourself. The Drawback is that a wire mesh guard will collect leaves and other debris and possibly clog up the down spout.
Do you need a sealant water comes out of bottom
Silicone adhesive applied around the joints will help make the system watertight.
What are the dimensions of the end of the flexible connector that does not connect to the downspout?
One rectangular end is 2"x3" and the other is 3"x4". If you are connecting to a 2"x3" downspout, the unused end will be 3"x4" and vice versa.
