Can you tell me if this wrench will fit this main water shutoff gate valve for my home? The outside diameter of the valve is approximate 2.25". The interior slot diameter opening (outside edge) is about 1". The valve is about 24" deep in the ground.
The ID is 1.25" not 1.75". The OD is 1.75". I got it for a fountain valve based on the 1.75" ID Jones Stephens answer to your question. It barely fits, but I got it to work. I might try stretching the ID...
Based on your description of your main water shutoff valve which has a 1 inch wide slot, this key likely will not fit as it has an ID of 1-3/4 inches.
Can this fit into 1" pipe to open/shut water for sprinkler?
The dimension for the key at the end of the wrench is 1-3/4 inches. If you are looking for this tool to fit inside of a 1 inch pipe, then it would not due to the width of the key.
Is this universal for all water main shutoff valves ? And can this tool be used to open the lid covering the valve ? I'm disabled and unable to open lid and look inside. Thanks in advance.
For me, it would not work to open the cover, only to turn faucet on and off.
The M25100 key opens most, but not all, water main shutoff valves. However, as we do not know what type of valve you have at your water main shutoff, we cannot be certain this key will fit as some shutoff valves that have an odd handle.
Can this item be used to turn on and off an American valve (located in an underground ceramic tube which has an approximately 5-inch inner diameter and an approximately 24-inch depth)? Attached is an image of an American valve. Thanks a lot!
