The M-D Aluminum and Thermoplastic Rubber Commercial Screw-on Door Sweep features a thermoplastic rubber seal for protection from drafts, moisture, dust and insects. The rubber seal has higher durability and sealing properties than standard vinyl. It is UL Rated for slower flammability to limit the spread of fire in a building. Save on energy by sealing the bottom of the door and keeping the heat or air conditioning from escaping. All of the hardware needed to install is included. Before installation, cut to desired length by using a hacksaw.

Can this be used for metal doors?
I used it for a metal screen door on my lanai. It worked great. I suggest self tapping metal screws. Hopefully your current sweep already has the metal self tapping machine screws and you can just reuse them. Self tapping avoids having to drill holes.

Is this for inner part of the door
Hello, and thank you for your questions. Door Sweeps are designed to go on the inside for inswing doors, and outside for out swing doors. This way they do not prevent the door from closing. Can this door sweep be used along with the M&D under door seal #05991 or # 78899?
Thank you for reaching out. It is not recommended to use two under door seals at the same time on the same door. Any of these three however can be paired with a threshold to add a better seal. Thanks
What is meant by maximum door width 2 ?
Thank you for reaching out. Typically for Houshold doors the total maximum depth of the door is 2". This is in reference to that measurement. Thanks
Can I screw this on the outside of the door so that I can prevent from water from leaking under door?
Thank you for reaching out. If the door is an outswing door there will be no issue with installing this on the outside. For inswing doors, we recommend installing this sweep on the interior side of the door. It is possible to install the sweep on the outside of the door on an inswing door, but it will need to be cut to fit between the door jams as to not prevent the door from shutting properly. As previously mentioned, we do not recommend this approach of installing the sweep on the outside of an inswing door.
