      Answer This Question

good morning, yes, if you have 3/4" PVC/CI X 3/4" PVC/CI pipes then yes that would be the coupling you would need and will work perfect for your application. if you have a different type of pipes the outer diameter could be different then in which you may need a different coupling. If so, we prefer you to give us a call here at Fernco and we will happily help you determine what coupling would work best for you. Thank you!

        Answer This Question

Hello, unfortunately, you are correct this coupling will be too large for you. the best option is our 1056-22 coupling with a reducer bushing to put into it to reduce it down to the copper size. that reducer bushing number is 2.380-2.125R. so this is a two-part coupling unfortunately. if you have any questions, please gives us a call here at Fernco and we will happily help you. Thank you.

instead of fernco product expert leads you to obscured items, if you want to connect 2" pvc to 2" copper this should work just fine: https://www.homedepot.com/p/Fernco-Proflex-2-in-Neoprene-Shielded-Coupling-P3001-22/100372290 it's a 2" no hub coupling.

hello, unfortunately, I am not aware of what Top-Notch plastic is either unless it's describing the plastic material, we use in our products is top notch. Our products are made with Elastomeric Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC).

The kitchen sink drain pipe broke right at the clean out Tee fitting inside the wall. There was no room to insert an ABS drain coupler as the break occurred at the joint. I used this Fernco coupler that slips above the Tee flange and over the pipe. Worked perfectly, and no leaks after a week. Hopefully this lasts many years.

I’ve not yet reached the point of installing the part but I am very well impressed with the Fernco line of couplings. I’ve purchased four different types and they all seem very well made. Their extensive variety makes for a very fine selection to choose from, and none more so than this one that can clamp around the outside of one end of a nominal 2” ABS DWV schedule 40 coupling and then around the outside of a 2” schedule 40 pipe. This makes a critical repair possible where a pipe has been broken where it emerges from a 45 in a tight, awkward space. From looking at it carefully it looks trustworthy and robust, like it will last practically forever. I hope so! Fernco customer service over the phone is excellent too.

I used this flexible coupling to the downspout pop in aluminum adapter and coupled it with a 3" hoseand to a 2" PVC to catch rainwater from my roof and was very happy to say it did the job more that I imagined because I could tilt the direction of the PVC just a little bit to the location of the catch drum opening.

I needed to clean out the condensate drain from my A/C and had to cut into the 3/4 in PVC line to get to the problem. This was perfect for sealing up the line and allows me to get back in again in the future if/when it clogs again!

Makes the Difficult Easy Fernco connectors are an amazing product for repairing or installing drain pipes. I only discovered them about 16 months ago. They are incredibly simple to use, they save much time when compared to other solutions, and they are an excellent value. For my application, I needed to replace a defunct dehumidifier. To remove the old one, the easiest solution was just to cut the 3/4" PVC drain pipe. Then to install the replacement, all I had to do was slip the 3/4" Fernco connector over one end of the cut PVC pipe, hold the two parts together, center the Fernco over the cut in the PVC pipe, and then tighten the screws on the two clamps. The screws are tightened to 60 in. lb. I have never had a connector leak when torqued to the specification. The connector is especially well designed. It has shallow trenches for each clamp so that they will stay put when installing the connector. (See the photo). The picture in the HD listing is inaccurate. The 3/4" connectors are gray not black. Since my epiphany, when wanting to purchase a Fernco connector for various projects, I have gone to several HD stores in this area and asked an associate in the plumbing department, “where are your Fernco connectors?” The answer has always been, “never heard of such a thing.” Every HD associate and customer should be aware of this nifty product.

                      Off lable use
We needed a way to route multiple PEX tubes through a crawl space under a building. The idea of using sections of schedule 40 3" PVC DWV tubing was more or less obvious. The problem were that three lengths were required to span the distance, the space was only accessible from each end, and the line between the end point accesses is not straight due to intervening building supports. We needed to be able to push the pipe in from one access point, angling it as it passed through the crawl space to the other. These fittings were perfect, allowing us to push the DWV tubing while allowing the necessary changes in direction as the tubing was pushed under the building.
