Q:Why do the specifications indicate an actual thickness of .47 inches when the nominal thickness is 11/32 inches? It seems like .47 inches would equate to a 15/32 nominal thickness and that this actual thickness should be closer to .34 inches?

          Bowed Plywood
I purchase 2 sheets of the plywood and it was a little bowed. After 1 month the bowed grew to 2-3 inches in the center. See picture. It will make my project much harder to complete. If I remember the whole stack was not flat. Be careful.

I used this instead of sheetrock in my basement, as I had a large foundation crack that needed to be repaired by Rescon Foundation Repair located in Londonderry, NH. The repair was made, and has a 10 year warranty. So just in case the leak happens in 15 years or more. It will be easier to remove the plywood and repair the crack and then reinstall the plywood. Where as using the sheetrock is more time consuming and costly. As 2 full sheets are needed, but only using a portion of the 2 sheets due to the configuration of that area. As I can always use the cut offs from the plywood for another project, but not the sheetrock....

I used these and other Home Depot materials and fasteners to build storage shelves in the garage, replacing some less substantial metal shelving. It is 9'L X 5'H X 18"D. My Home Depot store did the "complimentary" cuts to the 4' X 8' plywood sheets I used for the shelving which was a determining factor in making my purchase with Home Depot. It made assembling this shelving unit much easier and quicker. Thanks!
