Q:Hello. What is 11/32 thickness in inches. Is that thickness is 5/8?
by|Jan 6, 2023

Answer This Question

A:  No. In inches, 5/8" = 20/32" = 0.63", and 11/32" = 0.34", so this sheet is 19/64"thinner than a 5/8" thick board, and 3/32"thicker than a 1/4" thick board. Depending on the requirements of your application, this could be too large of a difference.

by|Jan 8, 2023

    A:  It’s 11/32” thick, hence the designation.  5/8” plywood = 20/32” thick. 3/4” plywood is 24/32” thick. 1/4” plywood is 8/32” thick. 1/2” plywood is 16/32” thick.

    by|Jan 10, 2023

A:  It 1/33" thinner than 3/8". If it was 12/32 it would be a true 3/8"

      by|Jan 15, 2023

A:  5/8? is close to 2/3rds of an inch. 11/32 very close to 1/3rd of an inch. So this thickness would be half what you may be looking for.

        by|Jan 9, 2023

          A:  Thalma, It is a .32 less than 3/8".

Q:Would this be suitable to use to make an upholstered headboard? Would heavy duty staples penetrate?

            Answer This Question

A:  TammyT, This would be a great board to use for an upholstered headboard.

            by|Jan 9, 2023

A:  Staple might have o be tapped with a hammer to tighten down. I would recommend a thicker plywood, this thickness will likely warp some and not look great.

Q:Can I use it as a placement for a twin bed? Also the weight limit

                Answer This Question

A:  Luna, We recommend using 19/32" or 23/32" thickness plywood sheathing as support for mattress, box spring and person, as we do not know the weight you are supporting. I cannot give you the weight limit as a twin bed is 38" wide. The allowable load for 23/32" is 100 lbs. per sq ft at 24" o.c. (on center).

Q:Can I use it for outside decking

                  Answer This Question

A:  Kenny76, We do not recommend using plywood sheathing for exterior applications such as decking. Rated sheathing is classified as Exposure 1, which means it can be exposed to the elements for a while but not permanently. We suggest an exterior or pressure treated plywood.

Strong, Thin, and Exactly as expected
As with most plywood, the buyer MUST store the pieces just like they are stacked in the store (flat ontop of one another). This can avoid all warping until the moment they are needed for nailing/screwing. I used for a barn roof deck, which had a max of 6" space support pieces underneith so 11/32" is all the thickness I needed. So pleased!

Used to make a wooden corner Christmas tree. Needed light weight but strong enough to hold a Christmas village and half dozen snow globes and decorations. The two back pieces and the shelves are cut from this plywood. One side of the plywood is sanded making it great for shelf's tops. The thickness made it easy to cut the curves on the shelves faces without splitting. The whole tree is 7 1/2 by 3 foot so I only needed 2 sheets. Total cost was under $30. This is perfect thickness and strength for craft projects.I had the sheets cut to 3 foot by 8 foot at the store.
