Can you use it with the logs folded

I wouldn't recommend it due the space between the charcoal plate and bottom of the grill. It could damage the legs.

Are replacement parts sold

I'm sure you could locate a supply house which could get you the part you need, which, including shipping would cost more than just buying a new grill. Just for fun one time, I priced out the cost for ALL the replacement parts for an old $300 gas grill I had. The total to buy all the parts was about $1300. The four parts I need most out of the hundreds available were about $190, so I just scrapped that grill and bought a new one.

I don't know if your food was unsafe or not; I did use pre-treated charcoal and did not feel any impact on my health. I am glad you asked the question because I did not read that in the instructions, in future I will not use the pre-treated charcoal.

Is it big enough to roast a chicken?

Yes- but you won't have room for much else; I would be worried about the weight. It may be a big problem unless you use a smaller size chicken to roast..

Remember if you buy a small portable grill you are not going to get what you would out of a large grill, expectations should be adjusted according. This said the grill I bought functions quite well and the legs easily fold and unfold, charcoal lights easily and burns well, cooking on the grill has been consistent. The price was better than most portable grills and the quality for the price is quite good.

There are design problems with this grill. While it offers more space than a Weber Smokey Joe, it suffers from air flow in part because coals sit on the bottom of the grill and depend on air flow slots located on both sides of the grill. The Weber has an approx 2 inch space below the coals via a small 6 inch +/- grate from which the coals actually sit above. Air flow is provided thru vents below the coals and not on the side of grill I purchased. The problem....not enough air flow much less enough to cook anything in a reasonable amount of time. Additionally the grill offers a 2nd level grill which lowers and raises as you open the grill lid. Problem...because of how the grill was designed there are wings nuts below the main grill line used to attach air flow side vents on each side which cannot be removed. So when the upper grill is installed you cannot easily remove the main grill grate below to move coals around much less add coals if needed. It's not that you can't remove the grate it is simply difficult to do so. I would recommend purchasing the Weber Smokey Joe instead. I only purchased this one because there were no Webers available in my immediate area and needed one that day. I wish I could return the grill altogether. The online purchasing process I used to purchase the grill was fantastic, online ordering to pick up. Great service!!! If not for this, I would rate this product a One Star.

Awesome grill
This little grill does a great job. I used it for a long cook and did pretty well through it. Planning to use it on the 4th of July and on my sister's 25 birthday. All in all, passes my test and I highly recommend it if you need something cheap and fast.

Not a bad grille at all. Perfect for "on the go" grilling such as camping, tail gating, etc. Has a small footprint for easy storage. Easy to clean. Easy to cook on. The legs are spring loaded and have worked well so far, but I felt this was the products weak spot. Over all, I like this grill's portability the most. Easy to set up. Very light to transport.

This is a great little portable charcoal grill in an all-in-one package. I was concerned that it would have parts that come off and get lost but everything fits inside the grill for storage. The legs are permanently attached and fold out for the grill to stand on so there is no need to worry about losing them. There is an adjustable intake vent at the bottom burner portion of the grill and an adjustable exhaust vent at the top to help control the burn and heat rate. When not in use, the grill folds up and can conveniently be carried. I can't wait to use it next spring when I go camping.

Picked one of these up today for an upcoming weekend grill out. Said it was preassembled but was not sure. Anyway got this, a bag of charcoal, some starter and am ready to go. Checking the grill ahead of time including the unboxing, unwrapping the grates that were protected inside the grill, and placing them in place was only a few minutes. Excellent!! All around very pleased with the purchase, a good value, and look forward to the weekend to give it a try.

What a nice little portable grill. Fairly priced & quality exceeds price paid! The Unit is small & portable with fold out legs which are spring loaded & fold away under the ring below the kettle. When you receive the unit everything is inside of the grill. Instructions for some minor assembly that even if no instructions were included anyone could figure out. I did have to hand tighten all butterfly nuts before using the unit for the 1st time. Only issue that I would have had changed is the bottom charcoal grate sits directly on the bottom of the kettle, I would have & did raise the grill up by an inch with some scrap metal stock I had. Other than that a very easy & functional grill with an outstanding price!
