We used 3 of these blocks to build a foundation for stairs to a porch of a rebuilt deck on a small cabin-house. My husband added them on an existing concrete pad and filled them with more concrete, and anchors. They were VERY heavy and worked out well. Very happy with the density and weight! Perfect for this project.
In the attached photo, you will see stair stringers. They were purchased through Home Depot. Very happy with both products.
