Would I recommend this product to others?: with reservations. Price is great if it matched the description!
I need a reasonably clean a straight piece, to be cut for legs for a saw table stand project.
My first attempt to purchase it at the closest Home Depot was a failure: I spent 10 minutes ducked into the bin trying to find a straight, clean piece. No success: after laboriously shuffling through about 20 pieces, all I found were scored, scraped, uneven, damp pieces, some even with bark chunks running up and down.
I stopped by the Nashua store (next closest), and found the selection of possible pieces much better).
It took me about two minutes to find a piece that met my needs, and another 5 minutes to get it cut into my 4 needed pieces, (along with a 2' x 4' MDF panel that I also needed cut).
All said, a good experience - the product was right, and the Home Depot staff were very helpfull!
One final caution - this wood does not come close to matching the on-line description, but it is an excellent solution for sturdy project wood.
Depending on your luck with the store selection, it will require some heavy, then progressively finer sanding, to get a surface you can stain and finish.
I am using the cut pieces for a Table Saw Stand legs (do not need to be that pretty)- I would not likely use this wood for any furniture type project where it would show!

Kiln dried?
I had to pick through the pile to find straight, clear-edged pieces for a fine-arts project. The best ones were found behind the jumbled already-picked-through pile at the front of the bin. Ended up with 12 nice sticks.
However, they are very heavy and moist. Almost green. I question if the kiln-drying process is working as expected. I have laid out the studs in my garage, hoping the Texas heat will dry them out. Don't know how long that will take, and am disappointed I can't use them right away.
Perhaps for their normal framing purposes the extra wetness wouldn't matter. YMMV.
The web-advertised price was good: $2.05/8-ft. stud. In my local Home Depot, posted prices were almost nonexistent. They rang up at $2.92 apiece. When I questioned the price, a manager was called and I ended up paying $2.08. So be alert.

Strong and mostly straight, light weight
Yes, they are a very strong, mostly straight and a very light product compared to similar products. I use it to build small structures and they work great to provide a strong foundation and structure without making the end result too heavy. I would say only about 1 out 10 of the pieces are less then straight so I feel pretty good about ordering online and then returning later what is unusable.

Very economical
I purchased this lumber to make a rolling tool box rack with stacked boxes. I could have easily used 2x2, but wanted a little more heft at attachment points (I used 2 inch drywall screws). The rack is almost 6 feet high with a large 26x12 tool box at about waist height and another 20 x12 box on top of that. The lower sections made for shelves that hold 'under bed' plastic bins. These studs were overkill for this job, but they were cheap per board and the cart is incredibly sturdy. To prevent toppling if a wheel jammed, the lowest section is 36x24.
Enough about my project and more about the wood. These were particularly straight for such thin stock. I do not recall seeing a knot and there was quality grain throughout each piece. I did drill counter sinks at all joining ends, but never had a single split or crack.
Very pleased and may use these for an up coming shed project.

What you would expect
Used for interior walls. Actually used them to reinforce a poorly constructed already existing wall. Worked great for me. They were a little crooked, so you are better off choosing your own as opposed to having HD do it for you.

Boards were wrapped terribly
The items were ready and waiting but the quality of the items were terrible. It's hard to build something when everything is twisted and bent. Not one piece was true.
