Every stud meets the highest grading standards for strength and appearance. Framing studs are ideal for a wide range of uses from framing of houses to basic interior structural applications. Studs come in several widths for structural framing, structural walls, interior and exterior walls. As long as studs are properly primed and painted or sealed and stained they can be used in exterior applications.

    A:  If outdoor rink you mean the surround that retains the water, and lays on the ground, I would suggest pressure treated lumber, would survive longer outdoors, against the earth.

        A:  This lumber is kiln dried thus should remain stable but lumber does acclimatize itself to its environment. Best thing to do is to leave the wood in the room where it will be used for a couple of weeks beforehand. Once the frame is built, it's recommended to seal the lumber with some sort of sealer to avoid the possibility of moisture penetration.
