A: Personally I would not recommend that without more information on how exactly you will be securing these and the shed to the ground. You don’t want it to move around or be blown away completely under high wind conditions, do you? As a base, I can’t think of any situation where that would be a good idea, but again you haven’t provided any information that would lead me to think that this is very well thought out. Anything to add as to how you will be constructing the shed?

A: Yes, you can’t stain them. However I actually used them for putting a building up and using them for stackable weight.
